The Star Wars Imperial Commander in charge of the Death Star in "A New Hope" is General Wilhuff Tarkin, played by actor Peter Cushing. Tarkin was a high-ranking officer in the Galactic Empire and the commander of the Death Star. Even so, he couldn't remember his lines. #darkside
